Principal's welcome

Dear Readers,

On behalf of the school community I would like to welcome you to our school website.
Corran College is a co-educational, non-denominational school.
Since its establishment in 1934 the school has provided a wide range of educational opportunities in the community. Over the years it has had to adapt to the many changes in education .
The ethos of Corran College is inclusive, caring and community focused. The Admissions policy promotes equality of access and participation. The school is committed to providing high quality learning experiences for all of its students. It is our vision that each student will discover their inherent abilities and develop them through the acquisition of new ideas and information and that this will result in the formation of happy well-adjusted, critically- thinking adults.
High academic standards are maintained and teaching is carried out with diligence and enthusiasm thus providing students with the skills needed to reach their potential.
The school is modern and well equipped. In 2009 a new Library and two classrooms were added to cater for increased enrolment as well as a newly refurbished Home Economics room.. The school has two dedicated I.T. rooms and Broadband is available throughout the school.
In addition we provide a broad range of sporting and extra-curricular activities which helps to focus on the social and personal development of our students.

Mr Martin Flynn
Principal (Acting)
Corran College.
