Leaving and Junior Certificate Results
Congratulations to our 6 year and LCA2 classes who acquitted themselves well in their respective Leaving Certificate examinations. Most the students are continuing to further and third level education. The Junior Certificate results were equally impressive.
Thank you to all the teachers who worked so hard to ensure that our examination students achieved a standard that reflects their potential.

Bonding Day
Sixteen first year students visited Sligo Rugby Club on Wednesday 7 September and engaged in a multi activity day with a group called “No Limits”. Students had a series of bonding or ice breaker games, samba drumming and a mindfulness session and enjoyed the day. Thanks to Ms Bailey and Ms Annette Conlon, SNA, for accompanying the students.

Ploughing Championships
The vast majority of our third, fifth, sixth and LCA students attended the Ploughing Championships in Tullamore on Thursday 22 September. The group was accompanied by Mr. Flynn, Ms McDermott and Shirley Redican. All students had a thoroughly enjoyable day out.

Visiting Speaker
A representative from IT Sligo addressed the Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied students re opportunities and courses in IT Sligo on Monday 26 September. The students intend to follow up this experience with a visit to IT Sligo in October.

Ms Kinsella and her team of LCA students organized a “Sports Day” for all students on the afternoon of Tuesday 27 September. The weather was dry and sunny and students were encouraged to enter into at least one track and field event together with a novelty events. The winners of the track and field events will represent Corran College in the ETB county sports day in IT Sligo in October.
